Split bills and get paid fast with shareable payment links

Tikkie streamlines the awkward chore of chasing money owed. Built by ABN AMRO Bank N.V., it lets you create a payment request in seconds, add an amount and a short note, then share it via WhatsApp, text message, email, or even as a QR code. The recipient does not need the app to pay, which removes a common barrier when settling up after group outings or shared expenses.

Under the hood, payments are processed through iDEAL at no extra charge. That means the person paying simply follows the link or scans your QR code and completes the transfer, typically within seconds. A clear summary tab keeps all your requests organized, showing who has paid and who still needs a nudge, and you can send reminders directly from the same screen.

Tikkie works with any Dutch bank, and it is free to use. To send requests, you need a Dutch bank account and a Dutch, Belgian, or German mobile number. The person paying must hold a Dutch bank account and be 18 or older. These requirements make it a strong fit inside the Netherlands, but they do limit its usefulness for international contacts.

Beyond personal use, Tikkie is well suited to business scenarios. ABN AMRO business customers, from freelancers to large organizations, can leverage payment links to speed up small invoices or one-off charges without swapping account details. There are also cashback opportunities from various well known brands, adding a small perk to an already practical tool.

If you need a convenient way to request money, Tikkie hits the right notes. Sharing links and QR codes is painless, tracking is straightforward, and iDEAL support keeps fees out of the equation. Just be aware that the Dutch banking requirement confines the app to a specific audience.
