Asphalt 8: Airborne
Crazy airborne arcade racing
Rocket through gravity defying races with ramps nitro and supercars
Asphalt 8: Airborne sticks to pure arcade thrills while layering in new cars, fresh locations, and a steady flow of events. It is a free racer with competitive multiplayer alongside a substantial solo path. A large slice of the garage has been refreshed, with authentic looking machines you can earn by winning races and banking points. You can collect up to 47 vehicles and respray them to your tastes.
Tracks span nine striking destinations, from Venice and Monaco to Tokyo, the Nevada desert, French Guyana, Iceland, London, Barcelona, and the Alps, each peppered with hidden shortcuts that reward exploration. There are three main ways to play: a deep career that stretches across eight seasons and 180 events, a quick race option with six solo formats (classic, elimination, duel, ejection, infection, and slalom), and online lobbies for up to 12 players, complete with a global ranking.
Handling embraces high speed spectacle. Nitro bursts, long drifts, and pick-ups keep momentum flowing, while a signature twist adds springboards to each course so you can launch into the air and pull off dramatic stunts. Control schemes are flexible, letting you steer with touch controls, tilt, or a hybrid setup. Visually, detailed environments and punchy lighting make every crash and drift pop, with a physics system that highlights collisions in slow motion and fills the screen with debris. A trio of energetic music styles matches the pace.
Updates have been generous: the isle of Tenerife adds four routes, and the lineup grows with headliners like the Lamborghini Aventador, Audi R8 LMS Ultra, Lykan HyperSport, Apollo Evo, VLF Force 1, Ford Mustang Mach E 1400, plus recent Mercedes-Benz additions. Ongoing events, refined onboarding, avatar options, clearer interfaces, tokens in the ad lottery, and voucher based upgrades round out a busy live calendar. The one stumble is that multiplayer rewards can feel light for the time invested.
Pros:
- New vehicles
- New destinations
