Cloud hub for storing and trading Pokémon

Pokémon HOME brings your collection together in one place, letting dedicated trainers manage creatures across compatible games while opening the door to active trading. It functions as a centralized vault for the National Pokédex, so you can keep track of everything you own, view detailed entries, and move select Pokémon into supported console titles.

Linking to Pokémon Bank is a major advantage. You can pull Pokémon from Bank boxes into HOME, choosing which boxes to sync at a time. The catch is that transfers work in batches instead of per Pokémon, so you cannot cherry-pick individuals within a box, and anything moved cannot go back to Bank. That one-way design demands planning, but the generous ceiling of up to 6,000 stored Pokémon softens the blow for serious collectors. When you are ready to migrate, you generate a Move Pokémon key from the options menu to authorize the transfer.

Organization is thoughtful. Each Pokémon features a rich profile page with move descriptions, stats, nature, characteristics, game compatibility, and any ribbons earned. Your Pokédex is split for clarity, separating what you plan to trade from what you intend to keep. The main hub, called Your Room, highlights limited-time challenges, friend activity, and service news, which adds a light social layer to your routine.

Trading is where Pokémon HOME feels most lively. Wonder Box lets you deposit up to ten Pokémon and receive surprises from other users, ideal for refreshing your lineup without micromanagement. If you prefer precision, the Global Trading System allows you to list three Pokémon and specify exactly what you are seeking. Real-time exchanges make it easy to fill gaps and round out sets without grinding in the wild.

Verdict: as a cloud organizer with deep profiles, social touches, and flexible trading, Pokémon HOME is a powerful companion for building a complete collection. The batch-only, irreversible Bank transfer is the main drawback, but if you plan ahead, the benefits outweigh the hassle.
