Pokémon Masters EX is a character-driven RPG from Nintendo and The Pokémon Company that moves the action to Pasio, an artificial island built for high stakes competition. Here, every trainer fights alongside a single partner Pokémon, forming what the game calls Sync Pairs. Your goal is simple and compelling, recruit and befriend these pairs across the island, assemble a squad, and rise through the Pokémon Masters League.

Battles play out in fast, real-time trios. Instead of traditional turn sequences, a move gauge fills over time, letting you choose when to fire off attacks, use items, or trigger trainer skills that boost stats or add helpful effects. Time your commands well and unleash signature strikes when the gauge is ready to swing the match. The familiar rock-paper-scissors spirit of the series remains, but the three-on-three format emphasizes synergy and timing as much as type advantage.

The current 4.5th anniversary celebration adds welcome reasons to jump in. Two headline Sync Pairs join the roster, Geeta with Glimmora, and Silver in his Champion form with Mega Tyranitar.
