Cause mayhem as a goat in a delightfully broken sandbox

Goat Simulator hands you a hoofed antihero and an open space to wreck, then steps out of the way. There is no story or campaign, just chaos, points, and a silly physics playground that rewards curiosity and bad behavior in equal measure.

You can bleat to spook passersby, sprint and kick, or lower your head for bone-rattling rams that send fences, cars, and unsuspecting humans flying. The standout trick is the sticky tongue, which latches onto objects and people so you can drag your prizes across town. Traffic can wipe you out, but respawning is immediate, keeping the momentum and mischief flowing. Score-chasing sits at the core, with optional on-screen challenges adding bonus points, like staying airborne with a jetpack for a set time.

Exploration is the real hook. The map is compact, yet dotted with oddball secrets, from a backyard ring where goats square off to a living room TV that houses Flappy Goat, a cheeky homage that doubles as a mini-game. These discoveries keep sessions feeling fresh, even when the objective list is short.

Controls are straightforward and responsive, granting free movement and quick reactions. Physics and animation are intentionally unruly: limbs clip through walls, your head phases into fences, and bodies tumble in gloriously illogical ways. Rather than breaking the spell, these glitches deliver slapstick comedy that suits the third-person camera. Visuals are serviceable rather than pristine, and the thin background music fits the surreal tone.

As a playground for mayhem, it is irresistibly original and consistently funny. As a traditional game, it is thin. The world is small, and there is no real sense of progression, which will turn off players who crave structure or long-term goals. If you want polish and purpose, look elsewhere. If you want a bizarre sandbox where even bugs feel like features, it is a joyous burst of nonsense worth revisiting whenever you need a laugh.
