eFootball 2023 modernized PES play with real clubs and legends

Konami’s reimagined football sim carries forward the PES spirit with a sharper focus on realism. Tackling, passing, and off-the-ball movement feel tuned to real-world patterns, yet the controls remain approachable, making matches competitive without being cumbersome.

You get two core ways to play. Authentic Team lets you step onto the pitch with licensed powerhouses, while Dream Team is the long-haul mode where you recruit, train, and shape a squad to match your preferred style. As your team grows, you can enter division-based tournaments, the eFootball League, and time-limited events that deliver a steady stream of rewards. Weekly live updates keep player data fresh, helping the meta evolve.

Club representation is broad, with European giants like AC Milan, Internazionale, FC Barcelona, and Manchester United, plus notable sides from Central and South America. Star power is a draw as well, since you can sign legendary names such as Kaká, Steven Gerrard, Fabio Cannavaro, Fernando Torres, Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba, and Francesco Totti.

Progression is bolstered by Match Pass tiers. The Regular Pass hands out experience, eFootball Coins, and multiple Nominating Contracts, useful for early roster building. The Value Pass, unlocked with coins, steps things up with a Highlight card of Adama Traoré and additional experience. The Premium Pass targets committed players, featuring a Highlight card of Aurélien Tchouaméni, a large experience bundle, and the most contracts.

There are caveats. Storage demands are hefty, and online play benefits from a stable connection. Matchmaking can take time, and there is no Master League. Some players may also wish the tempo were faster. On the plus side, generous rewards make it feasible to strengthen a team without paying.

Compatibility notes: devices with Android 7.0 or newer are supported, and it can work with 2 GB of RAM when paired with at least a quad core 1.3 GHz CPU and a 500 MHz GPU. Overall, it is a polished and feature-rich football experience with clear strengths and a few trade-offs.
