Developed by Team Terrible, this first-person horror puts you alone in a sparse, modern house with a baby that gradually sheds the cute act. Your job seems simple at first: follow on-screen prompts, pick up items, feed and soothe the child. The twist is how the rules shift as the night wears on.

Movement uses a virtual joystick and context actions, keeping controls intuitive. Tasks update on the left side of the screen, but there are no points or cash to chase, just the uneasy satisfaction of calming the little terror. You can only carry one object at a time, so you will often park the baby to fetch milk or a bottle, a small limitation that creates real tension when the lights flicker and something snarls down the hall. Ragdoll physics let you place the baby in odd spots, which can accelerate his temper and escalate the scares.

The Dark Whispers update is a standout. With Unreal Engine 5, environments look crisper, tiny details pop, and the monster form of the baby feels more threatening than before. Alice Pickman’s apartment has been refreshed, and two key chapters, Pickman’s Madness and The Exit, have been reworked to heighten suspense while preserving their core beats. New lore fragments add flavor without slowing the pacing.

Puzzles are accessible, so progress rarely stalls, and the flexible mechanics invite playful experimentation. That said, interaction is intentionally limited, and the first-person-only view may feel restrictive if you prefer broader agency. Still, the tight focus suits the genre, amplifying dread and turning simple chores into nerve-jangling moments. If you want compact, atmospheric horror built around small but meaningful decisions, this creepy babysitting shift is worth taking.
