The home screen is clean and easy to understand, with six clearly labeled options. Beneficiary Status lets you verify if installments are due or credited. Status of Self-registered Farmer tracks your registration and payment progress. New Farmer Registration supports first-time enrollment from within the app, while About the Scheme explains who qualifies and what benefits are available. There is also a PM-Kisan Helpline section for contact details. If you need to correct your Aadhaar number, the Edit Aadhaar Details option is available.

That simplicity comes with trade-offs. The app is best treated as a status and reference hub rather than a full account management tool. Editing is narrowly focused on Aadhaar corrections, and other profile information cannot be updated here. Some details you might expect to see are missing, and certain screens are not as intuitive as they appear at first glance, which can leave you hunting for information that is not actually provided.

For quick checks on registration or installment status, PMKISAN GoI does its job and keeps navigation uncluttered. For more complex changes to your account, you will likely need to look beyond the app. As a companion to the central-sector scheme that grants eligible small and marginal farmers 6,000 rupees per year in three installments, it works as a lightweight portal, but it stops short of being a comprehensive management solution.
