Onmyoji Arena translates the beloved Onmyoji universe into a competitive brawler that prizes elegance and tactical depth. It stays true to its roots with refined Japanese-inspired art and familiar voice actors, while the Shikigami roster dazzles with flashy ultimates and dramatic animations. Cosmetic variety is a highlight, too, with themed skin lines like School, Fairytale, and Steampunk giving each hero personality and the battlefield plenty of eye candy.

Under the surface, it is a strategy playground. A standout twist is its three team Battle Royale mode. Nine players split into squads of three, enter from separate starting points, gather resources, and collide in a central combat zone. The win condition is straightforward and tense, with victory going to the first team to secure 30 seals. It is a brisk, scrappy alternative when you want a break from traditional lanes without leaving the core combat behind.

Match balance feels carefully considered, keeping the roster broadly viable and letting skillful decision making shine. Online play also makes it easy to bump into high level opponents, which helps the meta stay lively. The one notable blemish is occasional audio dropouts, which can momentarily pull you out of the atmosphere. Even so, if you are after a visually striking arena game with meaningful customization and inventive modes, this is an easy recommendation.
