Timer driven shooter with crisp audio and strict ammo limits
Mission Counter Attack delivers compact firefights across small arenas where each mission hands you a different weapon and a simple directive: clear the hostiles before your health disappears. You can crouch and swap between guns, but tactical play quickly takes a back seat to quick reactions and target prioritization. Enemies appear to track you even when you try to hide, so the draining life bar feels less like damage control and more like a countdown pushing you to take the shot fast.
Ammo scarcity defines every encounter. With a very limited magazine and no reload option, every miss stings and every hit matters. On paper that sounds tactical, yet limited movement lanes and ineffective cover tilt the experience toward a rail shooter vibe. The stealth sniper mode rarely shines compared to going loud, where automatic fire better suits the game’s pressure cooker pacing.
Progression adds a light layer of investment. You can level up your character and grind for certain upgrades, which helps offset the harsh ammo economy. That said, you will run into paywalls, with additional levels and some gear locked unless you spend. You can sample a fair amount of content first, up to 25 maps, but advancing past that point often hinges on purchases.
Presentation is a mixed bag. Gunshot audio is pleasantly full-bodied, giving weapons a satisfying punch, and the flow alternates between slow, careful lining up of shots and brief bursts of high-speed spraying. Control sensitivity, however, feels poorly tuned, which makes precise aiming harder than it should be and further punishes the lack of reloads.
If you approach Mission Counter Attack as an arcade challenge built around timing and accuracy, there is a lean, tense loop to enjoy. Players seeking thoughtful tactics or generous loadouts will likely bounce off, and a simple reload option or looser progression would improve the experience significantly.
