Messaging is thoughtfully arranged. Your inbox separates unread conversations from the rest, and you can filter threads by type, text or voice, to focus on what matters. Libon also works as a substitute for your usual texting app by allowing you to send messages to contacts who are not using Libon, keeping your chats in one place.

Voicemail is where Libon stands out. You can receive voicemail as text, handy when you cannot listen to audio. Personalization goes a step further with contact specific greetings, so family, friends, and colleagues hear different messages. Finding a voice clip later is straightforward, since audio messages live alongside texts within each chat history.

Calling has a clear pricing model. New users get a small allowance to try the service, and calls to other Libon users remain free. For everything else you buy Libon Out credit in 50, 100, 200, or 500 minute bundles. One caveat is that these minutes expire after 30 days, which is fine for frequent callers but less appealing if you only call occasionally.

You will need a solid data connection or WiFi to make calls, and quality over WiFi is good when that requirement is met.
