Hitman: Sniper puts you behind Agent 47’s scope high above opulent lakeside estates in Montenegro, where every shot is a decision with consequences. Rather than a twitchy shooter, this is a methodical assassination sandbox that rewards planning, observation, and creative use of the environment.

Each contract plays like a compact puzzle box. You watch guards and party guests circulate, then nudge the scene toward your goals: break panes to alter patrol routes, set off car alarms to herd targets, or line up clean headshots when their routines align. Secondary objectives push you to experiment, from time-limited scope challenges to dropping foes into the hot tub without a commotion. On-screen assists let you briefly slow time or highlight positions, but patience remains your greatest weapon.

Progress feeds a satisfying upgrade loop. Completing jobs grants blueprints and parts to enhance rifles, and the bolt-action rhythm has real heft, making every round feel deliberate. There is breadth to chew on as well, with more than 150 missions and leaderboards that encourage score chasing and precision runs.

Presentation sells the fantasy. Sunlit villas, manicured gardens, and shimmering water create a striking backdrop, while subtle audio touches, like the click of a chambering round and the murmur of distant conversations, amplify tension. A separate zombie mode flips the tempo, testing rapid reactions against relentless waves and giving your trigger finger a different workout.

There are trade-offs. You operate from a fixed perch, so movement is intentionally limited, and repeated visits to familiar layouts can introduce a sense of déjà vu. In-app purchases exist, though they are largely optional since skilled play earns currency at a steady clip.
