Gallery is a free, straightforward manager for your media library that pulls in the photos and videos already on your device. After granting file access at first launch, it mirrors your system gallery so you can browse everything without importing or moving files.

Customization is where it shines. You can create your own folders, switch between grid and list layouts, and tuck private items into a secure vault to keep them out of sight. Sorting and discovery are helped by location tags and a simple favorites system, making it easy to highlight go‑to shots or browse images captured in the same place.

A standout tool is its duplicate cleanup. The app scans storage for repeated files, not only photos and clips but other document types as well, then lets you remove copies without leaving the interface. It is a handy way to reclaim space and cut clutter in a few passes.

Editing is less convincing. You get basic tweaks like rotate, flip, and zoom, but the so‑called advanced effects, including accordion, cube, and depth page, do not function as intended, and even if they worked, only one could be applied at a time. Video editing is absent, with playback being the only option.

The recovery option is also misleading. Rather than restoring deleted images, it simply duplicates a selected photo and places that copy in a new folder, which will not help if you actually lost a file.

Overall, Gallery is a practical pick for organizing, hiding, and decluttering your library. Its approachable layout and flexible viewing options make everyday management simple, and the duplicate scanner adds real value. Just temper expectations around editing and recovery, because those tools are not reliable. If your priority is tidy albums and a private stash, it gets the job done.
