Build ragdolls and unleash a clever arsenal in a dark sandbox

Fruit Playground is a free physics sandbox that revels in black comedy. You populate a blank stage with orange humanoid figures, give them simple commands like sit or walk, then push, pull, and fling them around to see their floppy reactions. The hook is not the characters themselves but what you do to them, and the game leans hard into slapstick cruelty that is not suitable for younger players.

The physics are the star. Characters crumple, tumble, and collide convincingly, which makes every experiment feel tactile. Once you start adding tools, the tone turns gleefully grim. Bladed items include a knife, spear, and awl, while the firearm set stretches from a pistol and sniper rifle to a mortar launcher with a scope. Each tool has distinct effects: a pistol shot draws blood without instantly ending a run, while the flamethrower reduces a body to a charred skeleton. If you want a breather from the violence, there are a few neutral props such as a chair or a brick wall for scene building.

The 0.2.8 update is a meaningful step forward. A new Logic System introduces building blocks like Note Block, One-Time Button, Logic Gate, and Gyroscope, letting tinkerers wire up simple machines and trigger chains. Fresh gear such as the Bomb Suit, Bomb Helmet, and Protection Boots expands dress-up possibilities, and additions like a watertight box, Air Bomb, fruit-themed emotes, and rain bring variety. Subtle cloth tearing, new mod editor templates, and bug fixes make interactions feel smoother.

While the weapon roster feels comparatively sparse for a sandbox of this type, the sharp ragdoll physics and twisted humor carry the experience. If you enjoy cause-and-effect play with a pitch-black grin, Fruit Playground is an engaging toybox to poke and prod.
