Disney Twisted-Wonderland is a free adventure that flips the script on classic villains, recasting them as stylish students at the enigmatic Night Raven College. Born from a collaboration between Aniplex and Walt Disney Japan, it showcases concept, story, and character designs by Yana Toboso, the creator behind Black Butler, which gives the cast a sharp, anime-forward flair.

You play as an ordinary youth yanked into a magical world and placed under the school’s watch, more interested in returning home than ruling the social ladder. The narrative unfolds through frequent story chapters that spotlight each dorm and its eccentric residents, all loosely inspired by films like The Lion King, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, and Aladdin. It is character driven without slipping into romance, and the protagonist remains purposefully gender neutral.

On the gameplay side, it blends turn-based battles with upbeat rhythm stages. The gacha system fuels team building, letting you collect and upgrade cards of your favorite students, then deploy them in spell duels or tap along to music segments. Presentation is a highlight: expressive live 2D animation, crisp illustrations, and cute chibi models give scenes warmth and personality. Voice acting is in Japanese, with English subtitle support that keeps the story accessible even if you prefer the original performances.

The trade-off for all this charm is stability. Load screens sometimes lock up, which can break momentum during longer play sessions. It is not a deal breaker, but it is the one consistent annoyance in an otherwise polished package.
